mutual indemnity agreement

The purpose of the mutual indemnity agreement (MIA – mutual indemnity agreement) for the oil and gas industry is to clarify liability. This prevents overlapping insurances covering identical risks to personnel, installations or other equipment. Every company only needs to insure itself only for its own possible damages.

Registration: There are currently more than 800 companies that have signed the mutual indemnification. The agreement is supported by both NOGEPA and the IRO. Companies that are interested in signing the mutual indemnity agreement may do so by sending a signed copy of the mutual indemnity agreement (MIA) to NOGEPA. NOGEPA keeps a register of affiliated companies.
